Álvaro Hormachea Guerra earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and later a Master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Cantabria. He is Manager of Information Models for the VALDATA project, contributing with knowledge about data mining, machine learning and data management.
He did internships periods at IFCA and the Portuary Authorities of Santander among others, related to the field of computer science. After that he developed a computer vision tool as part of his master’s thesis “Desarrollo de software Auto Machine Learning para usuarios de conocimiento no experto” at CTC in Santander. He later worked developing data engineering skills, such as API development and process automation, at technology consulting firms.
