Ane Urrutia is a pre doctoral researcher in the University of the Basque Country analysing the intersection between neuroscience, law, and human rights. She graduated from the University of the Basque Country’s faculty of Law with a thesis on theory of law in 2023. Then she coursed the Master of Juridical Research of the Autonomous University of Madrid in 2024, with a thesis about the implications of neurotechnologies on the human rights related to criminal justice. During the course of her studies, she completed several courses on neuroscience, IA, biosanitary law and data protection on the University of the Basque Country. Which has resulted on her, holding several communications on national and international congresses. Especially on the years 2022 and 2024, in which she was a collaborator on the organisation of the International congress “Derecho y Genoma Humano : Genética, Biotecnología y Medicina Avanzada”.
