Claire Marie Hubbard is a systems engineer for the VALDATA project, contributing knowledge in data science, data engineering and architecture, as well as cybersecurity. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a specialization in Pure Mathematics from the University of La Laguna (ULL), and a master’s degree in Data Science from the International University of Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP). She began her professional path with an internship at EVM Group, where she developed data dashboards and performance indicators to help the company assess its operations and monitor key statistics. She then joined the CTC Technological Centre as an intern, where she developed her master’s thesis on predicting hazard severity due to mechanically induced thermal runaway in Li-ion batteries, applying machine learning techniques. This work was aligned with an ongoing project for the European Space Agency (ESA), which she later continued contributing to when she was employed by CTC as a technologist. In that role, she also worked on projects ranging from automation to machine learning and artificial intelligence for diverse clients.
