Sara González López is the Information Model Manager for the VALDATA project: ‘Cantabria Towards a Health Data Economy’. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Universities of León and La Laguna (ULE/ULL) and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the University of Cantabria and the University of the Basque Country (UC/UPV). During her studies, she developed a strong research background, completing her Bachelor’s thesis at the Canary Islands Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health on the characterization of pathogenic microorganisms in reclaimed irrigation water, and her Master’s thesis in the Immunology Department at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital (HUMV), focusing on the evaluation of functional cytotoxicity tests in Natural Killer cells in pregnancy-related pathology. This solid foundation in biomedical research and biological data analysis underpins her current work in structuring, standardizing, and managing health information models.
